Make Your Way Prosperous

Many of us wonder how we can attain prosperity. We spend years searching out the answer; reading self-help books, attending seminars, or even giving special seed offerings in hopes these things will help us attain that elusive thing called prosperity. Let me tell you I have the answer. The way to prosperity is clearly laid out according to the Word of God as follows:
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3 (KJV)

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Josh 1:8 (KJV)

Don’t take counsel from ungodly: The Bible states in Proverbs 14:12; 16:25 “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death.”(KJV) There are things the world declares as good, and they might well be, but they are not necessarily the ways of God therefore the end result is not guaranteed to be a God thing. That which God has not blessed is not guaranteed.

Don’t live according to the way of sinful: There should be a difference in the lifestyle of the believer and the unbeliever. We should not appear just as the sinner by our actions. The word of God should be the standard by which we live our lives; not that of popular opinion or situational ethics.

Do not be contemptuous: We should be respectful in the manner in which we treat people. Never allowing ourselves to look upon them with distain; even if there are those who choose not to walk according to the ways of the Lord it is not our place to judge or set them aside. It is our place to show the example in our lifestyle and exemplify the love of God at all times.

Delight yourself in the Law of the Lord: Take pleasure in serving the Lord and living according to the Word of God. It is not given to take anything away from us or to hinder us from any level of attaining. Rather it is given to us to show us how to make the most of our lives; how to not only be blessed but to be a blessing in the lives of those to whom the Father would cause our lives to minister.

Meditate on the Word: We should study the Word of God with a heart to seek attain understanding of the instructions by which to live your life. Seeking after the truth is the way to attain enlightenment and grow in the things of the Spirit by which we are able to walk in the ways of God and prosper therein.

This is what will cause us to become established in a place where we able to see the fruit from your labors and will be prosperous and have good success not only in thing concerning Spiritual matters but also in our bodies as pertains to healing and in all the ventures to which we put our hands whether it be business, planting a garden, running a household, influencing our community or any of the many other things we have been blessed to do. The word of God is our manual for success. Jesus, who is the Word made flesh, is our proper example; the standard by which we should live our lives. In the Word we find instruction, guidance, direction, encouragement, strength, and everything we need to have a prosperous journey in life.

Many Christians are sitting back waiting for some miraculous thing to overtake their lives so they can see a suddenly manifestation of the prosperity they believe God has in store for them. Well, I hope by now you see that it is really in your hands.
